it's the kong hwa tutoring break already!

and one more week to level camp.

important note is that, from the next csc activity onwards, it will be switched to every friday for the entrpreneur youth camp tingy.

holidays are coming as well, anyone volunteering to plan csc outing?

it has been three weeks since kong hwa tutoring project. walking into kong hwa seems like reliving primary sch days again right! (:

haha sorry for the lack of updates!

sales of craftwork on 14 feb is finally over!

and 27 feb CNY sphere is over too!

unpleasant excounters by some csc members. hmm, all i can say is tat, everything isnt smooth-going. so its normal to get some part being screwed up. nothing is perfect anyway!

i only has one photo with me. probably ppl who has the rest of the photos can get the password frm me to post it up, or send to me and i'll post it.

csc tshirt might not be black liao, cause received feedback abt elderly cannot see the shirt at night, and it would be inconvenient when we have night cips like musical fountain or christmas SPHERE cip. most likely yellow-orange, or lime green. not very confirmed yet.

orientation was a BLAST!

we have 10 over plus ppl coming in for audition. but chose only three. -.-

and today elderly came to celebrate new yr with us in sch! quite a challenge for wheel-chair bound elderly.

upcoming tuesday will be CNY sphere at peace-connect centre!

and for the csc tshirt color, feel free to suggest your desired color on the tagboard! note the practicality of the shirt color as well! best is if its bright and elderly can see it easily, esp for night cips like sentosa musical fountain and christmas cip. black and dark blue might not be gd, as it would be rather hot wearing it. keep the suggestions coming in! as a member, u have the right to decide the color!

time really flies, and before you know it, sch gna reopen!

how's everyone coping in this season of gaining fats? (:

here's a story to share!

In ancient times, a king had a boulder placed on a roadway.
Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock.
Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the big stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables.
On approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road.

After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. As the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many others never understand.

Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve one's condition.You might have read this story before, but was it applied into our lives? Obstacles, challenges, troubles. Treat them as opportunities to make yourself a better person. Make use of these opportunities to improve yourselves.

just a gentle reminder:
CSC Orientation will be on 8th jan, all csc members will be requested to come down and help out at our exhibition in the gymnasium.
thr will various duties which you all can be doing.
1. giving out csc souvenirs
2. decorating the booth
3. acting as "tour guides" and bringing the sec 1s around
4. be as enthusiastic as possible and share with them ur experiences in csc

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE YOUR JUNIORS-TO-BE! (:

and and jan 6th would be the thong chai flag day, all csc members would have to attend unless with a valid reason and a leave form.

hello all. everyone must have been enjoying their holidays i suppose (: dno why, but i cant seem to tag on the tagboard -.-

anyway! next csc activity will be on monday 18 dec for the orchard road tour with the elderly.
be at lavender mrt station by 4pm with csc shirt/ home shirt that is red.
we will be meeting up with the elderly, having a dinner at toa payoh western food, visit the garden festival at suntec city and a 30min road tour of orchard rd.

there was a carrot, egg and a coffee bean taken out from the fridge. all three of them were placed in hot water for awhile.

the carrot turns soft, the egg hardens, the coffee bean remains the same.

apply it back to life, hot water is the adversity we face in life, the carrot appears strong on the outside, but didnt manage to overcome the adversity, thus becoming soft. the egg appears fragile, yet the adversity made him stronger and the egg hardens, the coffee bean remains the same after the adversity.

so which one do u want to be?

the carrot?

the egg?

or the coffee bean?

A new leave form system is also up, meaning that if you are unable to make it for any official csc activity, there is a need to hand in the leave form to either lihui or yuan lin from 3i, three days before the activity. if you are sick on that day, an mc would have to be accompanied with a leave form and handed in within 3 days after the activity.

Well, it's leonard (3C) here. Yep, the blogskin is changed. Anyway, this skin is only somewhat temporary. I've been rather busy lately so I haven't got the time to work properly on a nice skin. So let's just use this skin for the time being ok?
